Your $3.4 Million Stimulus Dollars at Work. Tallahassee says thanks Suckers!

What's all this paper for?

312 votes or non-votes in a Minnesota Senate race where over 3 million votes were cast, was the margin that gave Democrats complete control in the United States Senate and made Harry Reid a player.

That’s right; 312 stinking votes is all that separated Al Franken in his win over incumbent Norm Coleman in a November, 2009 Minnesota Senate race that gave the Senate Democrats the crucial 60the vote, the constitutional number required to end debate or filibuster in the United State Senate.

Obamascare, Cap and Tax, giving terrorists the same constitutional rights as US citizens, Stimulus waste, and higher taxes; all made possible by 312 sorry Minnesotans who couldn’t muster the energy to go vote in what could prove to be one of the most important political races in the last few decades.

A Norm Coleman victory would have provided the 41st Republican Senator, the firewall number required to stimy Democrat legislation by the fillibuster process, a legitimate constitutional strategy that gives the minority party leverage in the Senate voting process by delaying votes from occuring until the majority party agrees to compromise in the crafting of specific legislation.

A sucessful fillibuster would have given Republican the ability to slow the impending march towards a more socialist leaning America led by the former community organizer, state senator, and two year first term US Senator, and now president, Obama.

While some guy named Johansen was ice fishing, the course of U.S. history was being changed.  If Ms. Neilsen had remembered to register to vote, she might have made a difference.  While Buddy Ericsen slept, the minions of Al Franken did their deeds.

Your vote not important?

Think again.

WHY?

Why is it that after attending a first class or first of several meetings in the same room,  most people, returning a week or even a month later, choose to return to the same seat that they originally chose on the first day of attendance to the class or meeting.  We can remember that we sat in the fourth seat in the third row of 60 desks a month later, but we cannot find our car in the parking lot or remember to pick up milk on the way home?  Is it the same instinct that drives salmon to swim 1000 miles to the same creek where they were hatched from eggs, to spawn?

Why is it that men are compelled to flip from channel to channel while watching TV and women tend to watch the same channel, changing only at the end of the program? Are men actually better at multi-tasking?

Why do people kiss?  Are we like canines or chimps who greet each other with similar behavior?

Why do we lie?

Why do we like to hear words that rhyme?

Why do choose to believe that the human race with all its complexities began from mud?  How can we temporarily suspend the use of our normal rational thinking processes for the counter intuitive belief that somehow from mud grew Sir Isaac Newton, Einstein, Socrates, and Aristotle?

Why do we want to be loved?

Why do we call edge of pavement, shoulders?  Is the road the neck?

Why are 98% of Fox News anchorwomen blonde?

Why do we change our voices to mimic certain people when we have coversation with those same people?

Why did God make men such terrible listeners when He made women so that they love to speak in such detail?

Why do most men not wash their hands after going to the bathroom?

Why do we use body language to communicate when no one can understand what our bodies are saying?

Why is the custom for men to wear an undershirt, long sleeved shirt, and a suit coat in the summer when it is ninety-eight degrees?

Why don’t you add your “why”, and don’t say,”Why don’t you get a life.”

White House Security ain’t what it used to be.

Bearded turban wearing guest, Bin Laden’s second-in-command Ayman al-Zawahiri, has been identified as the third party crasher at the recent Indian state dinner. It has been discovered that the Secret Service bureau chief who allowed the Iranian protestor to hurl his Nolan Ryan shoe pitches at Bush, was promoted by Obama to head the Obama White House security, some say, for his pro-global warming hoax support.  Obama, following foreign  policy and security practices of his mentor Jimmy Carter, who because of his micromanagement America experienced an ill fated American hostage rescue attempt, during which five  US helicopters perished in the Iranian desert, is looking more and more like Jimmy Carter,

A trip to Europe to convince European leaders to take Gitmo prisoners…. with minimal results.

A trip to Europe to convince European leaders to send more troops to Afghanistan….. The Netherlands sent one.

A trip to Europe to lobby for Chicago to host the Olympics……  They aren’t coming.

A trip to Asia to win concessions from China…..  They concede nothing, refuse to televise the press conference, and Obama almost kisses the top of Japan’s emperor’s shoes.

Are we seeing the transformation of Obama to O’Carter?

What’s wrong with a quick man-hug?  Nothing, unless you are embracing the president who is leading the parade towards socialist statism, while throwing away billions  like Mardi Gras beads on new government programs that Florida Republican hate.

A newswire photo similar to this Vigilocanis manipulated photo is causing Gov. Charlie Crist problems in Florida.

Former Speaker of the Florida House, Marco Rubio, although a relatively unknown outside of south Florida0, will cause Gov. Crist problems in next year’s Senate primary. Rubio has already cut Crist 40 point lead to 15 points according to recent polls.

Rubio’s strong low tax, pro-life, restrictive state spending leadership appeals to Jeb Bush conservatives.

Vigilocanis predicts that true conservative Rubio will defeat Crist next year.  Crist’s support of the Obama Stimulus package and subsequent embrace will doom the less conservative, though popular with Democrats, Crist.

HE SAID: He would allow five days of public comment before signing bills

HE DID:  He did not allow time for review by public of his very first bill:  the Lilly Ledbetter Fair Pay Act

HE SAID:  He would not allow the proliferation and dominance of lobbists to run the whitehouse by limiting their influence and popularity in the whitehouse.

HE DID:  He granted lobbyists different waivers on their participation

HE SAID:  He would hold health care meetings in the public view and invite C-Span to televise the meeting

HE DID:  He apparently lost C-Span’s telephone number.  Meeting are being held in an underground bunker somewhere  in Nevada

It depend on the definition of "is

It depends on what the definition of "is" is

Each day more and more people are coming to the conclusion that President Obama is not living up to the promises he made while running for President.  Even though most candidates bend the truth on occasion, many Obama supporters seem deeply disappointed that “ the one” may turn out to be just another “one” of those politicians that are honestly challenged who has elevated dissembling to an art form.

The litany of  instances of Obama saying one thing and doing the complete opposite is stunning:  in his stump speech he proclaimed that he would have the most open White House ever, even saying that he would invite C-Span in to televise the healthcare meetings; he promised to have a “lobbyist free” staff; he promised tax cuts for the middle class; he promised no Medicare/caid cuts; he promised that Joe Biden would be watching the expenditures of the Stimulus funds to insure against wasteful spending and political tinkering;  and he promised that he would hunt down Bin Laden and would commit the needed troops there to do the job.  So far he is batting zero on these commitments.

We had a hint that his word just might not be his bond when we heard him say that he sat in Reverend Wright’s church for a decade and never heard Wright preach any of his controversial anti-American sermons.

At the current pace of Obama’s half-truths, by the end of Obama’s first term, Clinton will sound like Honest Abe.

"We have to be sure to have an open and fair debate
“We have  to have an open and transparent process so that the American people participate and see exactly what we are doing.  We will invite C-Span in to televise our work process.

Top Ten Reasons Why the Nobel Committee Awarded Obama the Nobel Peace Prize

  1.  Obama was the only one with a peace czar.
  2. They liked the way Obama kept shaking Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez hand even though Chavez had just given Obama a book, which chronicled US interference in Venezuela
  3. They thought Acorn was a group that promoted world peace.
  4. The committee liked Obama’s refusal to take his advice from his military advisors.
  5. Any friend of Oparah’s is a friend of the committee
  6. They didn’t have Iran President Mahmoud  Ahmadinejad home telephone number or they would have chosen him
  7. They thought if they chose someone who actually had a record of accomplishment, it might diminish importance of the award
  8. They want a sleepover at the White  House
  9. Obama promised to introduce them to Mariah Carey
  10. Rahm Emanuel made them a Chicago style offer they could not refuse…to burn the secret photos he had of them.
That teleprompter is misleading the president again.

That teleprompter is misleading the president again.

In an interview with President Obama recently,  George Stephanopoulos revealed his true journalist abilities and actually asked the president some hard questions about  recent reports that confirm that the middle class will be paying more for their health care under the new Democratic proposals for reforming health care.

Stephanopoulos whipped out a copy of Merriam’s Dictionary’s definition of “tax”, after the president attempted to argue that the  higher proposed costs for health insurance were not taxes.

Stephanopoulos, who worked for the master masseur of micro-defining words for the purpose of mischaraterization, Bill Clinton; was not easily thrown of his line of questioninig.  He eased off only after it seemed that the president was becoming combative.

We are proud of you George!

Referring to the president’s policies as socialist, according to liberals, is now akin to saying making racist comments….

HUH?

There has been much discussion about people describing Obama as a socialist; however, much of the angst with liberals seems to originate in the misunderstanding of the term due to the lack of a clear definition of what detractors mean when they say Obama is a socialist.

It is difficult to precisely define socialism because of the many different socialist programs that have been tried during the last century or so.

Generally, socialism refers to an economic and political theory, which advocates: cooperation among people. government control of the nation’s means of production for the benefit of its entire people (even those who did not participate in the production of goods and service), and  the elimination fo the profit motive.  Most variations of socialism do not value private property rights and seek their elimination.

When people say that Obama is a socialist or is promoting socialism, most are probably referring to democratic socialist, a variation of socialism, which, according to Wikipedia, “Maintain(s) a commitment to the re-distribution of wealth and power and social ownership of most major industry, and some believe in a planned economy.

The Democratic Socialist of America, say, “Democratic socialists believe that both the economy and society should be run democratically—to meet public needs, not to make profits for a few. To achieve a more just society, many structures of our government and economy must be radically transformed through greater economic and social democracy so that ordinary Americans can participate in the many decisions that affect our lives. Democracy and socialism go hand in hand. All over the world, wherever the idea of democracy has taken root, the vision of socialism has taken root as well—everywhere but in the United States.

The website http://www.econ.ohio-state.edu/Fleisher/courses/econ508winter06/docs/Democratic_socialism.

pdfCharacteristics, says,”Democratic socialists have normally defended the role of the public sector, particularly as regards the provision of key services such as health care, education, utilities, mass transit, and sometimes also banking, mining, and fuel extraction. For evolutionary democratic socialists, their economic vision has often included a mixed economy with a greater emphasis on worker and consumer co-operatives, credit unions, family farms and small businesses, as compared to authoritarian Marxist-Leninists. In India, democratic socialists have to varying degrees seen the traditional village-based peasant economy as a model to be supported and enhanced.

It is interesting to observe the shocked disbelief and outrage exhibited by supporters when defending Obama from the socialist label, when few can dispute that he advocated the takeover of General Motors, financial institutions, and now proposes the government takeover of the healthcare system.

When one further considers Obama’s role as community organizer, redistributionist tax proposals, his “spread the wealth” comments, his appointment of a self professed socialist green czar, his role with ACORN, and his association with Dr. Jeremiah Wright, who preached black liberation theology for the 20 years that Obama was a member of Wright’s church, it is not surprising nor inaccurate that the term “socialist” comes to mind when describing Obama.

About liberation theology, Wikipedia said, “Anthony Bradley of the Christian Post interprets that the language of “economic parity” and references to “mal-distribution” as nothing more than channeling the views of Karl Marx. He believes James Cone and Cornel West have worked to incorporate Marxist thought into the black church, forming an ethical framework predicated on a system of oppressor class versus a victim much like Marxism.”

Unable to mount a credible defense of Obama’s socialist labeling by opponents, supporters have resorted to playing the race card by saying that opponents are racists. The charge of racist does not seem to be working and has probably done more damage than the original charge of socialist.

The question arises; what does one call Representative Bernie Sanders, a self professed democratic socialist, if not socialist? Are the news media all racists when they refer to Sanders as the only socialist in Congress?

Politics is a rough and tumble sport that I think Obama is tough enough to handle.

Let him stand on his own two, more than capable, feet, which proves that he is equal to anybody, white or black, instead of having whining white liberals labeling him a victim of those meanie racists. It seems that more white liberals are howling in outrage and insisting on victim status for Obama than mainstream African Americans.

Makes one wonder why?

Obama Addresses Congress

This is a completely harmless speech to your children-Obama

This is a completely harmless speech to your children-Obama

Twenty-Eight, apparently, one to hold the light bulb and twenty seven to turn his chair around in circles.

89px-Van_jones_dream_rebornDictionary.com defines “czar” as 1.  emperor or king, 2.  an autocratic leader or 3. any person exercising great authority or power in a particular field90px-Mihail_II

Van Jones’ recent resignation/termination as Czar of Green Jobs brought national attention to the role of czars in the Obama Administration.  Czar positions have been around since the Roosevelt Administration; however, President Obama has increased the number more than any of the  previous presidents to at least 28 czars.

Originally intended to bring special emphasis to the certain presidential projects or programs , the unapproved position under the Obama seems to serve as a way to get his people appointed without subjecting the appointees to Senate confirmation since not every politically appointed czar is required to undergo the Senate confirmation process.  PolitiFact.com published the list of czars shown below.

An equally interesting story related to the Jones resignation is how the major news outlets have again been caught completely asleep at the wheel at reporting stories related to the Obama presidency.  Cable news king Fox and host  Glenn Beck of Fox’s Glenn Beck beat CBS, NBC, and ABC  when Beck exposed Van Jones’ for crudely describing of Republicans in a recent public question and answer session.  Beck provided background on Jones that showed his resume to be that of a hard core leftist, by providing the public with evidence of his remarks, writings, and leftist radical philosophy.  The major outlets had failed to report anything but praise about the czar appointments.

Beck presented evidence that Jones had been associated with the 9/11 Truth movement, a collection of loosely organized groups that espoused the view that U.S. government insiders were connected with the 9/11 terrorist attack, specifically, that President Bush purposely with held information that could have prevented the attack.  Jones signed a letter of 100 notable Americans who called for answers to these charges.  Many of the Truth movement websites are associated with anti-Semite statements that connect Jewish interest with the 9/11 attack.  Even though he is a lawyer and he signed the statement of 100 notable Americans, Jones said,” “I do not agree with this statement and it certainly does not reflect my views now or ever.”

Should we expect anything differently from the neworks?  After all, one can watch the 6PM news on any of the three channels and they are always almost identical.

AK-47

AK-47

Compared to many reporters who might have gone postal under the same circumstances, the CNN reporter in this You Tube clip actually stays relatively calm as this Missouri car dealer, without any pretense of political correctness, explains his truck sales promotion that promises a free AK-47 semi-automatic rifle to each purchaser of a pick up truck from his dealership.  The promotion, which has drawn national attention, is a gimmick, according to the dealer, which he expects to be fairly successful.

What seems to put most reporters into overdrive is the use of the term “assault weapon”  when used in connection to a crime especially a murder. If one listens to their questions of many journalists, it is apparently to most gun owners that many reporters do not have any working knowledge of guns in general.

To provide a general understanding of guns, the following is a basis guide to gun types:120px-Pistol_Browning_SFS

There are three basic types of all handguns, rifles, and shotguns.

  • Single shot.  Firearm capacity is one bullet, shell, or cartridge.  Once fired, it must be reloaded.
  • Semi-Automatic.  Firearm with capacity for more than one bullet, shell, or cartridge.  Can be fire multiple times by pulling trigger each time to discharge each piece of ammunition.  There are semi-automatic pistols, rifles, and shotguns used for hunting, sport shooting, and personal protection.  Many semi-automatic weapons will accept clips, which can hold multiple bullets, shells, and cartridges.  A simple .22 caliber rifle may have a clip that holds 50 cartridges.  The same is true of larger caliber weapons, like .223, .30/.30., or .3006.
  • Automatic.  Firearm with capacity for multiple bullets, shells, or cartridges.  Can fire multiple times at rapid rate by pulling trigger one time and keeping trigger depressed.  Automatic weapons are illegal unless a special gun license is obtained.117px-WWI_rifle_ammunition

Shotgun shell deliver many pellets of steel or lead

Shotgun shell deliver many pellets of steel or lead

The misunderstanding that many non-gun owners have is over the definition of an assault weapon

120px-Shotgun_Mossberg_590Basically, it is just a semi-automatic weapon that is or was used as a military weapon.  It can inflict no more human damage than a semi-automatic hunting rifle or shotgun.

In fact, the larger caliber hunting rifles are more dangerous than assault rifles.  A semi-automatic 12-guage shotgun, which many hunters use, having a 5 shell capacity, can injure many more people than an assault weapon.  The reason is the shotgun shell holds many ball bearing size pellets that injure or kill multiple victims with one shot because of the “”spray” effect. .

Categorizing a legal firearm an “assault” weapon is attempt to demonize one type of firearm over another by stripping away certain second amendment rights we have, one at a time.

I predict that additional name changes are in store for us such as “Killer SUVs”, “Suicide Burgers”, and town hall “assassins”.

Weapons are most dangerous when used by dangerous people.

zzHR 3200 or U.S. House of Representatives Bill 3200 is said by critics to call for macabre end-of-life tough talk to the elderly.  They argue that this will eventually lead to a government committee, or “death squad”, which will make life or death decisions regarding treatment allocation for sick patients.

This interpretation is bolstered by comments that can be loosely construed as supporting such a policy, according to opponents, who say Dr. Ezekiel Emanuel, brother to Rahm and a health-care advisor to the president, made regarding treatment (or non-treatment) for patients with chronic conditions.  The comment that President Obama made at one of his town hall meetings is also given as proof, when he told the young lady that, perhaps her 90 something year old mother might have chosen to take a pain pill, rather than have a heart operation to prolong her life.

Having experienced similar last minute medical decisions that patients and their families are required to make with my dad, I can see the value of being made aware of the medical options one has when facing an imminent death situation.

As one who has visited the site of the Nazi concentration camp at Dachau and visited the sites of the birth of Nazism in Munich, Germany, and who fears the dangers of majority mob rule by an all powerful government (right wing or left wing), I can understand those that recoil at the idea of granting government with any decisions regarding their personal health care.

However, the death squad that I fear is the panel of Obama appointees that are administering the slow death of the American economy.

The Office of Management and Budget, the nonpartisan office of the federal government, predicts that the Obama programs will add approximately ten trillion dollars to the national debt over the next ten years.

From turtle tunnels provided in an eight hundred billion dollar Stimulus package,  GM bailout,  funding for uncompetitive banks, Cap and Trade agreements, budget busting spending, to the trillion dollar ObamaCare program, when compared to the spending habits of drunken sailors, we give drunken sailors a bad name!

The health care reform bill will add a trillion dollars itself, even with the purported savings that the plan may or may not bring.

That means Obama will have doubled entire debt built up during the history of the U.S. in just one term if Obamacare is added to his 2009 to 2010 budget.

With the unfunded liabilities connected with Social Security, Medicare, and Medicaid, our financial future is unsustainable.

It is difficult to imagine that this president can summon the political backbone to stand up to the spending orgies organized by the Pelosis and the Reeds of his party, not when he spends as recklessly as they do.

It will take a national town hall meeting called an election where any politician who refuses to fight this free spending addiction, is thrown from his office to take control of the predictable calamity that awaits us.

5.  Healthcare reform bill too short.  Voters actually read this one.

6.  Followed Michael Moore’s legislative strategy97px-Michael_moore.

7.  Told woman at town hall meeting that she might have wanted to give her mom a pain pill instead of critical care heart treatment.  Remark made after he told child that he would not kill anyone’s grandma.

Thanks Pal, I couldn't have done it without your help!

You just spent several billion dollars helping your friends and neighbors purchase brand new cars by giving them a check for $4500 to buy that old clunker that is worth $50

You may not have thought about it but you gave them a lot more help than the $4500 cash for their old junker.

  • Your friends and neighbors bought a GM (Government Motors) car from a car company your taxes helped subsidize to make it possible.
  • Your friend and neighbors probably did not have cash for the new car, so they borrowed money from the bank your taxes bailed out so that the bank could make your friends and neighbors a loan.
  • Your friends and neighbors will stop and fill the new car with a gas and ethanol mix subsidized by your taxes.
  • And your friends and neighbors will park their new car in a garage at a home financed with a subsidized Fannie Mae mortgage, subsidized by whom?    Guess who….that’s right you.

You are a good friend and neighbor.  Are you still taking the bus?

Frank Hailed as Hero of the Left for Slamming Town Hall Participant

 By Vigilocanis

Barney Frank, Democrat Representative From Massachusetts, the same representative who in 1989 was the subject of this AP and CBS News Report by Sam Donaldson:

”Massachusetts Representative Barney Frank, today confirmed that his Washington apartment had been used as a callboy headquarters by a male prostitute for a year and a half until late 1987. Responding to a story in today’s Washington Times, Frank said he had hired the prostitute out of his own funds as a personal aide and fired him when he found out what was going on.”

And about whom the New Hampshire Union Leader in an editorial said:

Prison The party announced Frank as the keynote speaker on Sept. 11 — three days after the U.S. government took control of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, costing taxpayers untold billions. That takeover probably could have been prevented had Frank not worked to thwart every attempt to limit the risks taken on by the two government-sponsored mortgage giants..

…In 2002, shortly before accounting irregularities were exposed at both companies, Frank said, “I do not regard Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac as problems,” The Wall Street Journal reported. After the Freddie Mac accounting scandal in 2003, Frank said, “I do not think we are facing any kind of a crisis,” is the new liberal favorite for the perception that someone is finally standing up to the hallers.

….is now being hailed as the hero of liberals who are fed up with losing the public relations battle at town hall meetings.

This moral giant put a young woman in her place at a recent Massachusetts town hall meeting, after she asked him a question and accused the president of being a Nazi.  Frank told the woman that, with her views, he might as well be speaking to a dining room table.  Earlier, he asked her what planet she was from.

The liberals, so beat down by the town hallers’ juggernaut, this minor dust up by Frank took on the same importance to liberals as Patrick Henry’s, ” Give me liberty or give me death,” if comment activity on blog sites is any measure of liberal support for Frank’s remarks.

Frank’s blast sent the left into a veritable state of delirium of the blogs. “We absolutely love you,” and, ”You’re our hero, Barney.  It’s time someone put those wing nuts in their place!” were typical of the thousands of comments to blog sites.

At one time on Wednesday morning, there were 749 comments waiting in moderation cue to be approved with the 2000 comments that had already responded to the You Tube film of the meeting, posted just earlier on the liberal Huffington Post.  Ninety-Nine point nine percent supported Franks.

Great choice for the face of ObamaCare.

"Please cancel cancel my membership, ya danged bunch of liberals!"

"Please cancel my membership, ya danged bunch of liberals!"

The American Association of Retired People, or AARP has lost over 60,000 dues paying members since July 1, 2009 due to its perceived support of Obamacare, according to CBS news and the Associated Press.  This means that AARP lost almost a million dollars in dues, which range from $12.50-$16 per years for a one year membership.

….And for what reason?

For breaking a critical unwritten rule for nonprofit organizations-Remain politically neutral.  When you object, object on the facts of the bills you oppose.  And above all, do not ever appear to favor the leaders of one political party over another.

When the AARP leadership recently appeared on TV seemily to support Obamacare, and then the president said in a town hall speech that the AARP had endorsed Obama’s plan, apparently members were upset.   AARP spokesman said no endorsement has been made.

An AARP spokesman said it was not unusual to lose members when they take a controversial position.  They say they attracted 400,000 during the same time period to add to their 40 million membership list.

AARP answers pertinent questions on Obamacare on its website:

"Get out-a-here with your support for ObamaCare"

Is AARP supporting a cut in Medicare benefits? No. AARP believes that any health-care reform legislation should result in a better and stronger Medicare program for current and future beneficiaries—not in a Medicare program that delivers less than today. The proposed changes to Medicare will help get fraud, waste, and abuse out of the system and create payment incentives to reward doctors and hospitals for the quality rather than the quantity of care they provide.

No health care reform proposal currently under discussion by Congress gives health care to illegal immigrants with taxpayer dollars. While AARP believes the government must enforce our immigration laws, we are focused on lowering health-care costs and ensuring our members have access to affordable care. A critical component of our health-care agenda is ensuring that everyone who receives health care in America pays their fair share.

What are the priorities of AARP’s health-care reform efforts?

  • Allow Americans who like their doctor and their plan to keep their current health-care plan.
  • Guarantee Americans ages 50-64 a choice of affordable, quality health-care plans regardless of age or pre-existing conditions.
  • Close the Medicare Part D “doughnut hole” and lower drug costs so people with Medicare can afford the medications they need.
  • Enhance the quality of health care so all Americans have the peace of mind that comes with good care.

AARP’s written answers sound better that the impression that their spokesman leaves on TV programs.

This is Team Dell New Delhi, How may we assist you?

This is Team Dell New Delhi, How may we assist you?

Dell Computers  is the only major company, that I am aware of, that has a customer service department that would be vastly improved if it was outsourced to the U.S. Postal Service, any state department of motor vehicles, or even a cable TV company.

In fact, the service provided by the the Department of Motor Vehicles would be rated five stars when compared to Dell and cable TV companies only keep you on hold for one hour before telling you that their service personnel will arrive at your home within 72 hours sometimes between 8AM and 8PM.  Their service is streamlined next to Dell’s.

Getting a refund  from Bernie Madoff would be easier than getting a your money back from Dell.

When Dell’s leadership team sat down to develop a strategic plan for the company, it seems as though they crafted the following mission statement :

“We will develop the finest personal computer sold in the US, at a price that most Americans can afford, with unique customer service plan designed to keep customers engaged with our customer service personnel for years to come.  This novel approach, although the opposite of every other large multi-national company, will be accomplished, by hiring of workers in India and Costa Rica, who while meaning well, will have difficulty communicating with their American customers, thus prolonging every call.  Service personnel will be instructed to  follow a Dell process of keeping every customer engaged with a call center for a minimum of eight hours of telephone dialogue or waiting on hold.  The customer shall be exposed to a rich international culture by requiring that the customer speak to a minimum of six different service people in at least two different countries outside the United States.  This process will insure that the customer stay in contact with Dell on an ongoing basis, which will result in maximum exposure to the Dell product line for the customer.”

A Google search will show that I’m not the first to discover that Dell’s service is suspect.  The following is a sampling of reader’s remarks found on the web:

“I just bought a new Dell and am getting ready to send it back. I have been two days on line and on the phone and cannot get an answer to anything I ask. Worst customer service I have ever encountered. This is the last Dell I will ever buy.”

“Bought a Dell, I also didn’t get my monitor fro several days. Customer service kept telling me to go to the website. I DON’T HAVE A MONITOR TO SEE THE WEBSITE!!!”

“When I purchased my Dell I was told I was getting the printer for free. I was told this by a person who did not speak English well (a call center in India), and after she asked me to finance the order on 4 times (with me saying no 4 times). Well, I got charges for the printer, as well as found out later that my Pentium was not nearly strong enough for what I wanted it to do. I had discussed this with the call center rep (at first hoping she would be knowledgeable). I should have done more research, and then I wouldn’t have bought a Dell in the first place. My monitor’s power button broke 3 months later.”

My experience was similar.  I ordered a lap top online from Dell as a present for my wife.  On my first attempt, the checkout price was different than the quoted special price.  I immediately called to cancel, but was told by the service department that there was no need to cancel since in my order, I had omitted the county where I reside.  For that reason, I was instructed, I did not have to cancel an order that was not properly completed.

"Sir, please give me the 22 letter code found on the back of the monitor that you say we did not send you?"

"Sir, please give me the 22 letter code found on the back of the monitor that you say we did not send you?"

You can probably guess the rest.  I ended up with two identical Dell lap tops; and now I unable to return one of the laptops because I missed the 21 day return date deadline, for a computer that Dell said was not properly ordered.  I have spoken to every service worker from every caste in India and every barrio in Costa Rica, without finding a sympathetic ear.

For the few bucks it might have cost on restocking and postage cost, Dell will lose thousands of dollars just from my business for refusing to put the customer first and by following the worst business relations schematic ever conceived by an entrepreneur.

If anyone from Dell happens to read this and you want to ask how you can earn my business back, I can be contacted at vigilocanis@yahoo.com. I won’t hold my breath.

120px-Floating_wreckage%2C_Galveston_hurricane%2C_1900120px-Hurricane_OpalHurricane Bill, Hurricane Ana, and Hurricane Claudette-New Names for 2009-It’s That Time of Year Again

Living near in North West Florida in Tallahassee, when we hear “hurricane” or “tropical” from weather people on television or radio, we take notice.

 120px-Hurricane_Evacuation_Route

Even though we are 30 miles from the Gulf of Mexico, we know that the innocent sounding hurricanes like Bill or Claudette can become cold blooded killers like Kate, Camille, Katrina, Opal and Carmen.

We know the hurricane drill from years of experience-generators, plywood, bottled water, food, and batteries.  You would think we would have them all in one place by now, but most people, like my family, scramble around at the last moment and get important items together at the last moment.

Staring at those projected paths on television, we subconsciously pray that those little hurricane icons will begin to move on those electronic TV boards towards Texas or Mexico, until we think about how selfish our thoughts are.Hurricane_Rita_landfall_probability

Television weather people suddenly become rock stars in the television world.  News reporters quickly lose suit coats and begin to appear with long sleeved shirts rolled to elbows.  On site reports look for worst background to show damaging winds and rain, often pulling back cameras to show that they are standing in the parking lot of their hotels.

We remember how much disruption to our lives hurricanes can bring, without thinking about what the folks in New Orleans went through with Katrina.  Two weeks without electricity is nothing compared with losing your home and all your possessions.

An interesting benefit of the hurricanes is that doors of communication are opened up between people who otherwise would not speak to one another.  Neighbors are stirred to speak to one another who have only exchanged not and waves to each other.  Hurricanes also take our minds off subjects or problems that only days before seemed to control our thoughts.

Town Hall meetings and what birthday present to buy suddenly lose favor in our thoughts hierarchy.  Where the town hall meeting will occur is less important than where the hurricane shelter is located.

Maybe the conversation of race relations could even be helped by hurricanes.  Since we know that hurricanes promote all types of discussions and interest, why not name some of the hurricanes after rappers?  This would help middle age and older members of the public to become comfortable with part of the culture that may frighten them now.

Hurricanes 50cent, Nelly, and Xzibit being spoken about by Texas ranchers, or Aunt Bertha from Panama City, Florida calling Brother Marvin in Peoria talking about Hurricane Eminem, could not hurt race relations.

We can only hope and pray that this will be a slow season for hurricanes.

Why do you people show up at our little meeting with all these questions you bunch of Nazi Republican hacks!

Why do you people show up at our little meetings with all these questions, you bunch of Nazi Republican hacks?!

It’s as though the Democrats are going out of their way to avoid making a sale to Americans for their inferior product, the ObamaCare program.

Any salesman worth his salt knows that the first thing a salesman needs to do when trying to make a sale is to get the customer like you and trust you.

In the case of the town hall meetings, the attendees  are the customers, but the Democrat Congress members have not only forgotten basic sales techniques, it is not clear that they even know that  audience are the customers

It is obviously more difficult to get the crowd to like you and trust you when you know that most are ideological opposites and you are peddling snake oil, but that doesn’t mean that you can’t at least soften their objection to what you are selling.  If they were to succeed in moving the audience a notch closer to their position, the congress members would have accomplished something.

But Democrat politicians make a big mistake, when not only do they not try to get the crowd to like or trust them, they go out of the way to insult their customers by showing total disrespect and contempt for the for what they have to say and who they are.  Democrats have called their valued customers, the “town hallers”, Nazis, hacks, thugs, and paid agitators.

Now do not get me wrong, I am ecstatic that they are blowing the opportunity to hood wink the public with this snake oil of a program they originally called health insurance, but now call it health insurance reform.  However, as someone who has made a living in sales for 36 years, it is just intriguing that these politicians are so clueless about the art of selling.

The "hallers" are all stinkin' rabble-rousers, Acorn members, throw 'em out, ya stinkin' bums!

All the "hallers" are a bunch of rabble-rousers. Acorn members, throw 'em out, the stinkin' bums!

Here is some free advice on how to handle the objection of attendees, for the Democrats.  They wouldn’t follow the advice even if they read this, but it is good advice to anyone trying to sell an idea or a product or even to someone trying to persuade someone to do something.  Almost every good salesman knows this information, but the Congress members seem to be oblivious to these common sense suggestions.

1.  Establish a connection with the audience.  Humor works.  A compliment never hurts.  Try to get the audience to like and trust you.

2.  Listen to what the people are saying.  Pause after hearing each comment or question. Don’t pull a Shiela Jackson Lee and talk on your phone while the questioner pours her heart out to you, even if you multi-task as Ms. Lee purports to have been doing.

3.  Never argue with the customeror town haller, just agree and say something like, “I certainly can see why you might feel that way,” or “I can understand why you might feel that way.”  Respond with, ” Have you considered…”  Screaming at the audience, as one Congressman did, is not advisable.

4.  Isolate the objection and deal with it by offering a solution.  ”So you are saying that the two main objections to this new program is…..and if I could address your concerns, would you give me your support?”  You are fortunate to be able to hear exactly what the objections to the plans are.  Who knows, if you hear a common objection to the plan, you might want to go back to Washington and consider actually changing the plan; the customer may indeed be right.

Oh yeah, a prequisite to actually making the sale is that you must know your product inside and out (product knowledge); and you must believe in your product.  People can see through a fake everytime.  That may be the larger problem for the Democrats, which may be impossible to overcome.  If you do not even know what the bill says because you haven’t actually read it and you cannot passionately summarize the benefits of your program because you do not understand it, perhaps the program is not worth considering.

FROM WHITE HOUSE

Dear Friend,

What List?

What List?

This is probably one of the longest emails I’ve ever sent, but it could be the most important.Across the country we are seeing vigorous debate about health insurance reform. Unfortunately, some of the old tactics we know so well are back — even the viral emails that fly unchecked and under the radar, spreading all sorts of lies and distortions. As President Obama said at the town hall in New Hampshire, “where we do disagree, let’s disagree over things that are real, not these wild misrepresentations that bear no resemblance to anything that’s actually been proposed.”So let’s start a chain email of our own. At the end of my email, you’ll find a lot of information about health insurance reform, distilled into 8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage, 8 common myths about reform and 8 reasons we need health insurance reform now.Right now, someone you know probably has a question about reform that could be answered by what’s below. So what are you waiting for? Forward this email. Thanks,
David

FROM VIGILOCANIS TO WHITEHOUSE

Dear David and Friends,

Dear David

Dear David

This is not one of my longest emails I’ve ever sent, but it could be the most important.  Across the country we are seeing vigorous debate about health care reform between honest citizens wanting to speak their minds about the gutting of the country’s wealth and the attemptied hijacking of one of the greatest medical system in the world.  Instead, they are met with personal attacks orchestrated by Democrat congressmen and women who call them Nazis, un-American, rude, and paid hacks, and by a president and his palace guard who seek  to intimidate and stifle debate by requesting that the emails and names of the White House opponents be reported to the president’s own office acting as though these citizens are members of  sleeper cells. President Obama said at the town hall in New Hampshire, “where we do disagree, let’s disagree over things that are real, not these wild misrepresentations that bear no resemblance to anything that’s actually been proposed.  So we are asking that the president stop spreading his misinformation about his new health care plan that he now calls his health insurance reform, stop the first amendment intimidation tactics against those with whom you disagree, call off the union thugs and their Democrat bosses who try to strong arm town hall participants, and just let the people speak.  If you listen closely, they will lead you to the truth, and back on the track toward financial sensibility.  Hopefully, it’s not too late.  Forward this email to every house, community, town, and city in America, and let freedom ring.

Democrat Fact or Fiction

8 ways reform provides security and stability to those with or without coverage

  1. Ends Discrimination for Pre-Existing Conditions: Insurance companies will be prohibited from refusing you coverage because of your medical history.
  2. Ends Exorbitant Out-of-Pocket Expenses, Deductibles or Co-Pays: Insurance companies will have to abide by yearly caps on how much they can charge for out-of-pocket expenses.
  3. Ends Cost-Sharing for Preventive Care: Insurance companies must fully cover, without charge, regular checkups and tests that help you prevent illness, such as mammograms or eye and foot exams for diabetics.
  4. Ends Dropping of Coverage for Seriously Ill: Insurance companies will be prohibited from dropping or watering down insurance coverage for those who become seriously ill.
  5. Ends Gender Discrimination: Insurance companies will be prohibited from charging you more because of your gender.
  6. Ends Annual or Lifetime Caps on Coverage: Insurance companies will be prevented from placing annual or lifetime caps on the coverage you receive.
  7. Extends Coverage for Young Adults: Children would continue to be eligible for family coverage through the age of 26.
  8. Guarantees Insurance Renewal: Insurance companies will be required to renew any policy as long as the policyholder pays their premium in full. Insurance companies won’t be allowed to refuse renewal because someone became sick.

8 common myths about health insurance reform

  1. Reform will stop “rationing” – not increase it: It’s a myth that reform will mean a “government takeover” of health care or lead to “rationing.” To the contrary, reform will forbid many forms of rationing that are currently being used by insurance companies.
  2. We can’t afford reform: It’s the status quo we can’t afford. It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.
  3. Reform would encourage “euthanasia”: It does not. It’s a malicious myth that reform would encourage or even require euthanasia for seniors. For seniors who want to consult with their family and physicians about end-of life decisions, reform will help to cover these voluntary, private consultations for those who want help with these personal and difficult family decisions.
  4. Vets’ health care is safe and sound: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will affect veterans’ access to the care they get now. To the contrary, the President’s budget significantly expands coverage under the VA, extending care to 500,000 more veterans who were previously excluded. The VA Healthcare system will continue to be available for all eligible veterans.
  5. Reform will benefit small business – not burden it: It’s a myth that health insurance reform will hurt small businesses. To the contrary, reform will ease the burdens on small businesses, provide tax credits to help them pay for employee coverage and help level the playing field with big firms who pay much less to cover their employees on average.
  6. Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits. To the contrary, reform will improve the long-term financial health of Medicare, ensure better coordination, eliminate waste and unnecessary subsidies to insurance companies, and help to close the Medicare “doughnut” hole to make prescription drugs more affordable for seniors.
  7. You can keep your own insurance: It’s myth that reform will force you out of your current insurance plan or force you to change doctors. To the contrary, reform will expand your choices, not eliminate them.
  8. No, government will not do anything with your bank account: It is an absurd myth that government will be in charge of your bank accounts.  Health insurance reform will simplify administration, making it easier and more convenient for you to pay bills in a method that you choose.  Just like paying a phone bill or a utility bill, you can pay by traditional check, or by a direct electronic payment. And forms will be standardized so they will be easier to understand. The choice is up to you – and the same rules of privacy will apply as they do for all other electronic payments that people make.

8 Reasons We Need Health Insurance Reform Now

  1. Coverage Denied to Millions: A recent national survey estimated that 12.6 million non-elderly adults – 36 percent of those who tried to purchase health insurance directly from an insurance company in the individual insurance market – were in fact discriminated against because of a pre-existing condition in the previous three years or dropped from coverage when they became seriously ill. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/denied_coverage/index.html
  2. Less Care for More Costs: With each passing year, Americans are paying more for health care coverage. Employer-sponsored health insurance premiums have nearly doubled since 2000, a rate three times faster than wages. In 2008, the average premium for a family plan purchased through an employer was $12,680, nearly the annual earnings of a full-time minimum wage job.  Americans pay more than ever for health insurance, but get less coverage. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hiddencosts/index.html
  3. Roadblocks to Care for Women: Women’s reproductive health requires more regular contact with health care providers, including yearly pap smears, mammograms, and obstetric care. Women are also more likely to report fair or poor health than men (9.5% versus 9.0%). While rates of chronic conditions such as diabetes and high blood pressure are similar to men, women are twice as likely to suffer from headaches and are more likely to experience joint, back or neck pain. These chronic conditions often require regular and frequent treatment and follow-up care. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/women/index.html
  4. Hard Times in the Heartland: Throughout rural America, there are nearly 50 million people who face challenges in accessing health care. The past several decades have consistently shown higher rates of poverty, mortality, uninsurance, and limited access to a primary health care provider in rural areas. With the recent economic downturn, there is potential for an increase in many of the health disparities and access concerns that are already elevated in rural communities. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/hardtimes
  5. Small Businesses Struggle to Provide Health Coverage: Nearly one-third of the uninsured – 13 million people – are employees of firms with less than 100 workers. From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. Much of this decline stems from small business. The percentage of small businesses offering coverage dropped from 68% to 59%, while large firms held stable at 99%. About a third of such workers in firms with fewer than 50 employees obtain insurance through a spouse. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/helpbottomline
  6. The Tragedies are Personal: Half of all personal bankruptcies are at least partly the result of medical expenses. The typical elderly couple may have to save nearly $300,000 to pay for health costs not covered by Medicare alone. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction
  7. Diminishing Access to Care: From 2000 to 2007, the proportion of non-elderly Americans covered by employer-based health insurance fell from 66% to 61%. An estimated 87 million people – one in every three Americans under the age of 65 – were uninsured at some point in 2007 and 2008. More than 80% of the uninsured are in working families. Learn more: http://www.healthreform.gov/reports/inaction/diminishing/index.html
  8. The Trends are Troubling: Without reform, health care costs will continue to skyrocket unabated, putting unbearable strain on families, businesses, and state and federal government budgets. Perhaps the most visible sign of the need for health care reform is the 46 million Americans currently without health insurance – projections suggest that this number will rise to about 72 million in 2040 in the absence of reform. Republican Position on Truth or Fiction of ObamaCare

President Obama told the American people in his weekend address he wanted to “start dispelling the outlandish rumors” about the Democrats’ risky health care experiment.

I couldn’t agree more with the President.

There is no place for outlandish rumor or outrageous rhetoric in the debate for the affordable and accessible health care reform we all want.

Below are some facts that will help you counter the dishonest rhetoric Obama, Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and liberal special interest groups are disseminating in their attempt to silence dissent:

  • Rhetoric: President Obama Promises Americans Can Keep Their Current Health Care Coverage. “You know, the interesting thing is we’ve actually been very clear on what we want. I’ve said I want to make sure if you have health care you are going to keep it…” (PBS’s “The Newshour With Jim Lehrer,” 7/20/09)

  •
    • FACT: Analysis Shows Over 88 Million People To Lose Current Insurance Under Government Health Care Takeover. “Under current law, there will be about 158.1 million people who are covered under an employer plan as workers, dependents or early retirees in 2011. If the act were fully implemented in that year, about 88.1 million workers would shift from private employer insurance to the public plan.” (John Shelis, Vice President, Lewin Group, “Analysis Of The July 15 Draft Of The American Affordable Health Choices Act Of 2009,” 7/17/09)

  • Rhetoric: President Obama Pledges Americans Can Keep Their Doctor. “If you like your plan and you like your doctor, you won’t have to do a thing. You keep your plan. You keep your doctor…We’re not going to mess with it.” (President Barack Obama, Remarks At White House Press Conference, The White House, 6/23/09)

  •
    • FACT: Mayo Clinic Says Government-Run Health Care Will Force Doctors To Drop Patients. ‘[L]awmakers are on track to approve across-the-board federal payment reductions of $155 billion over 10 years for hospitals … Mayo and similar health systems object to the sweeping cuts. ‘Across-the-board cuts will be harmful to everyone and we think it is particularly bad to penalize the high-value organizations,’ said Jeff Korsmo, executive director of the Mayo Clinic Health Policy Center. ‘We will have to violate our values in order to stay in business and reduce our access to government patients.’” (Phil Galewitz, “‘Model’ Health Systems Press Case For Medicare Fix In Reform,” Kaiser Health News, 7/20/09)
  • Rhetoric: President Obama Promises No Additional Taxes On Middle Class. “What I’ve said is, and I have stuck to this point, I don’t want to see additional tax burdens on people making $250,000 a year or less.” (NBC’s “Today Show,” 7/21/09)
  •
    • FACT: Democrats’ Plan Imposes 2.5% Tax On Uninsured Individuals. “The penalty assessed on people who would be subject to the mandate but did not obtain insurance would equal 2.5 percent of the difference between their adjusted gross income (modified to include tax-exempt interest and certain other sources of income) and the tax filing threshold …” (Douglas W. Elmendorf, “Preliminary Analysis Of The Insurance Coverage Specifications Provided By The House Tri-Committee Group,” Letter To Chairman Rangel, 7/17/09)

The Republicans want an honest and open debate about how to reform health care, but it is the Democrats who do not want to have a legitimate discussion on the issues. Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid and their liberal special interest cronies are resorting to calling concerned citizens who have questions about their health care schemes “astroturf,” “un-American,” and even “political terrorists.”

One White House aide went so far to say “if you get hit, we will punch back
twice as hard
” when coaching Senate Democrats on the ways of “Chicago land politics.”

It’s time for the President to practice what he preached on the campaign trail and respect all voices in the health care debate.

Help the RNC spread the facts about the Obama Democrats’ dishonest rhetoric and stop their efforts to silence dissent by forwarding this email to your friends, and if you can, make a contribution of whatever you can afford to the RNC today.

And for more information about Obama’s government-run health care experiment, go to www.BarackObamaExperiment.com.  there’s too much at stake for Democrats and their left-wing allies to dominate the debate on health care reform with misinformation, name calling and scare tactics. Please help Republicans fight back today!

Sincerely,

Michael Steele
Chairman, Republican National Committee

I am not a doctor, but I take the place of one under OBamaCare

I am not a doctor, but I take the place of one under OBamaCare

Stop your fishy talk and spread the government truth.
Stop your fishy talk and spread the government truth.

David Axelrod just sent me another email  ‘splaining that those fishy people are up to no good again.

In his email, he apologizes that his email is the longest one he ever contrived.

I believe it.

It’s like when you ask your child why they haven’t cleaned up their room, and they proceed to tell you about child labor laws in China, about how they haven’t had much energy lately, and finally about a new doctor’s report that says that kids are not getting enough sleep.

It takes time to lay out a complete fabrication when it comes from your brain, unlike the truth that comes from the heart; it’s simple to explain and it makes sense to the listener or reader.

Here is an example.  This is a list found within his email that he says are, “8 common myths about health insurance reform.”

I will refute his myth with the truth drawn from common sense and experience.

His number 2. “It’s a myth that reform will bust the budget. To the contrary, the President has identified ways to pay for the vast majority of the up-front costs by cutting waste, fraud, and abuse within existing government health programs; ending big subsidies to insurance companies; and increasing efficiency with such steps as coordinating care and streamlining paperwork. In the long term, reform can help bring down costs that will otherwise lead to a fiscal crisis.”

The truth:

Obama gives this explanation on how he will pay one trillion dollars in additional costs that ObamaCare will  produce:

  • 300 Billion in new taxes on rich folks amd by limiting deductions on things like charitable giving
  • 177 Billion in Medicare and Medicaid overpayments
  •  25 Billion in hospital readmissions savings using Medicare reimbursements as leverage
  • 30 Billion in savings using more generic drugs
  • 106 Billion in savings by reducing payments to hospitals for treating uninsured persons. ”If we put in a system where people have coverage and the number of uninsured people goes down with our reforms, the amount we pay hospitals to treat uninsured people should go down.”
  • 75 Billion in savings through more efficient purchasing of prescription drugs
  • $1 billion more by rooting out waste, abuse, fraud throughout our health care system
  • $313 billion in Medicare and Medicaid spending in several other ways. One way is by adjusting Medicare payments to reflect new advances and productivity gains in our economy
  • 1.029 Trillion Total Obama projected savings
  • Notice that there is $300 Billion in new taxes and closing tax loopholes such as charitable giving.  That is not savings as you describe in your refutation of a so-called myth.

The other $700 Billion comes from some magical tweaking of the existing Medicare and Medicaid programs and other dreamy ways OBama says he can squeeze savings out of the system.

Now, this is coming from the bunch that gave you Stimulus Porkulus that paid for turtle tunnels, boat launches for lakes that have been dry for years, and highways with no cars; and who gave you a budget that the nonpartisan ONB says will add $10 trillion to our national debt over 10 years.

Assuming that there are some savings to be had, why didn’t they go ahead and make the administrative changes earlier this year if it was so easy to find the money…..because either they do not know how to do it or it cannot be done.  Remember, he promised that one of the first acts after becoming president was to ask each Department Secretary to find a$100 million to cut out of their budgets….How’s that working out for us?  It ain’t cause it didn’t happen….And neither will these ficticious saving will happen.

WE will end up paying at least a trillion dollars in new taxes or we will borrow the money, which will drive up interest rates, and constitutes a tax in and of itself because it raises the cost of taxes.

His list of 8 Myths Are:

They is absolutely no rationing here. Would the 54 extra patients standing in the waiting room please take a seat outside on teh grass.

They is absolutely no rationing here. Would the 54 extra patients standing in the waiting room please take a seat outside on the grass.

      Reform would encourage “euthanasia”

: It does not.

    6. YOU SAY YOU'RE GONNA FIX MY DONUT HOLE, WHY THANK YOU. BUT THAT'S KINDA PERSONAL TO PUT IN AN EMAIL, SONNY.

YOU SAY YOU'RE GONNA FIX MY DONUT HOLE, WHY THANK YOU. BUT THAT'S KINDA PERSONAL TO PUT IN AN EMAIL, SONNY.

Your Medicare is safe, and stronger with reform

: It’s myth that Health Insurance Reform would be financed by cutting Medicare benefits.

Dear Friend,This is probably one of the longest emails I’ve ever sent, but it could be the most important.Across the country we are seeing vigorous debate about health insurance reform. Thanks,
    David

About those fishy comments you made....

About those fishy comments you made....

If you received one of David Axelrod’s letter emails asking you to help spread the truth about ObamaCare, then it may mean that you have been outed by someone to the White House as talking trash about ObamaCare.

In other words, your communications sound ” fishy” to the thought police

    My comments were fishy?

    My comments were fishy?

    Think I’m kidding?

An Obama press representative, when repeatedly questioned by Meghan Kelly of Fox News, would not deny that an email list of those that have been referred to the White House or should we say to the president of the United States of America’s staff, is being maintained.

So, if you have received this Axelrod letter ( see ) and nobody else has that you know except a few fellow bloggers, like is the case with me, it only stands to reason that you are on a special email list comprised of a group of individuals who share some particular characteristic. 120px-Mag_glass_request

Now, at first blush it sounds completely harmless, the president wanting to clear the air of misconceptions about his new healthcare initiative.  But if we allow the our government officials to start down that slippery slope of compiling lists of citizens who in some way have expressed opposition to the enterprises of government, we are granting them powers that can lead to can only be used at the expense of individual freedoms.

    I didn't mean nothing.

    I didn't mean nothing.

What should we do to stop this pernicious baby step of the Obama thought police?

I suggest you file a Freedom of Information Act request to see what correspondence or general information the Obama staff is keeping on you.  Below, is a copy of a letter that is provided that you can use to request a copy of your information.

If you maintain a blog site where you disseminate information to the public or if you just want the information for educational purposes, you are allowed to request an exemption from paying the small cost that may be incurred to cover the administrative expense associated with the request.

Simply edit the letter with your individual information and send it in………and don’t worry………..you are already on their lists.  I suggest sending two copies, one to each of these FOIA officers, since I do not know, nor did they know, who exactly is in charge of keeping the list.

§ 552a. Records maintained on individuals

    (d) Access to Records.— Each agency that maintains a system of records shall—

    (1) upon request by any individual to gain access to his record or to any information pertaining to him which is contained in the system, permit him and upon his request, a person of his own choosing to accompany him, to review the record and have a copy made of all or any portion thereof in a form comprehensible to him, except that the agency may require the individual to furnish a written statement authorizing discussion of that individual’s record in the accompanying person’s presence;

Changes Would Pose Serious Threat To Americans’ Personal Information, Says ACLU

    FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
    CONTACT: (202) 675-2312; media@dcaclu.org

WASHINGTON – The American Civil Liberties Union submitted comments today to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) opposing its recent proposal to reverse current federal policy and allow the use of web tracking technologies, like cookies, on federal government websites. Cookies can be used to track an Internet user’s every click and are often linked across multiple websites; they frequently identify particular people.

Since 2000, it has been the policy of the federal government not to use such technology. But the OMB is now seeking to change that policy and is considering the use of cookies for tracking web visitors across multiple sessions and storing their unique preferences and surfing habits. Though this is a major shift in policy, the announcement of this program consists of only a single page from the federal register that contains almost no detail.

“This is a sea change in government privacy policy,” said Michael Macleod-Ball, Acting Director of the ACLU Washington Legislative Office. “Without explaining this reversal of policy, the OMB is seeking to allow the mass collection of personal information of every user of a federal government website. Until the OMB120px-Mag_glass_request answers the multitude of questions surrounding this policy shift, we will continue to raise our strenuous objections.”

The use of cookies allows a website to differentiate between users and build a database of each user’s viewing habits and the information they share with the site. Since web surfers frequently share information like their name or email address (if they’ve signed up for a service) or search request terms, the use of cookies frequently allows a user’s identity and web surfing habits to be linked. In addition, websites can allow third parties, such as advertisers, to also place cookies on a user’s computer.

“Americans rely on the information from the federal government to research politics, medical issues and legal requirements. The OMB is now asking to retain the personal and identifiable information we leave behind,” said Christopher Calabrese, Counsel for the ACLU Technology and Liberty Project. “No American should have to sacrifice privacy or risk surveillance in order to access free government information.  No policy change should be adopted without wide ranging debate including information on the restrictions and uses of cookies as well as impact on privacy.”

Weak Clubhouse Speech. Too Verbose says Yogi Berra, Needs To Spice Up Speeches with some Cajun Spices

With Sarah Palin’s decision to become a free agent, Mark Sanford’s off the field, out of the country escapades, and Bobby Jindal’s yawner of a dug out speech to the team, the Republican bench has only one team member that would be a unanimous choice to the All Star team if the voting was held today,  and is a player who can lead the team to a World Series victory.

     JEB BUSH.

    115px-Jeb_bush_at_noaa_earth_day

Hall of Fame Numbers, Baseball Smarts, Tough Competitor, Natural Talents

Jeb Bush, a seasoned player who had a league leading .360 batting average, commited no fielding errors, was an effective team captain, has the ability to sell tickets with his charismatic appeal, while leading an exemplary off the field life mentoring children and promoting the importance of improving educational methods and choices, is the unanimous choice from Team Republican to lead the way to the World Series and is an easy pick as an All Star.

His main weakness, is sharing common bloodlines with former All Star and World Series winner, George W., a future Hall of Famer, who, nevertheless,  left the game with negative reviews from big city sports writers and television commentators, and a loss of confidence with sports fans that is improving every day as fans watch the new fan favorite Obama, with his league wrecking Obamaball.  (Player Obama claims his inherited the troubles from older players Bush and a guy named Doubleday).

Putting aside the weak baseball metaphor, former two term Florida governor Jeb Bush’s record as governor is stellar.

In A Record of Leadership and Policy Accomplishment from The Maine Heritage Policy Center comes this analysis of Bush’ record:

    • Bush left office with a favorability rating of 63% with Floridians.

    • As governor, Jeb Bush initiated innovative Medicaid reforms.  Empowered Care: Putting Patients First is a consumer-driven program that has fundamentally altered Medicaid’s power equation.  Rather than bureaucrats deciding what health care individuals receive, Bush’s reforms allow consumers to decide for themselves.

    • Governor Bush is often referred to as Florida’s “education governor.”

“When I left office there were 223,000 more Florida students reading                                                                                                                                                                 successfully and 234,000 more students doing math on grade level or higher than when I became governor.  Their progress and increased chances for a successful future are what I am most proud of.” … Jeb Bush

    • Every year in office, Governor Bush is credited with cutting taxes, with a cumulative reduction of $19 billion.  Notable reductions include the elimination of the intangibles tax and changing the state’s death tax to the federal phase-out.

    • During his two terms, Governor Bush reduced the number of state government employees by 13,726, a 6.6 percent reduction of the 210,209 state employees employed in 1999.  Additionally, Governor Bush vetoed over $2 billion in new spending initiatives.  Under Governor Bush’s leadership, Florida earned Wall Street’s highest possible bond rating.

    • In addition to the $8 billion Everglades restoration project, during his governorship, Florida has set aside more than one million acres of land for conservation through the Florida Forever land-buying program.

There is not a politician in the country from either party with a record that can match Jeb Bush’s record in government.  His detractors attempt to poke holes in the success of the programs he implemented as governor, but most Floridians would argue that he was one of the state’s most effective governors.

ObamaCare will cost families like this from 300 billion to a trillion dollars in new taxes.

ObamaCare will cost families like this from 300 billion to a trillion dollars in new taxes.

In his June 15, 2009  speech to the American Medical Association, President Obama told the doctors that the new healthcare program will cost somewhere in the range of a trillion dollars over 10 years to pay for 46 million new uninsured people.

He offered several questionable ways to pay for the program:

Obama’s projected savings are already being questioned… by the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office.  They say in a just published public letter, that the promises of money saving preventitive medical screening and wellness programs in ObamaCare will not materialize, but instead, will cost more, the opposite of what Obama promised.

ObamaCare, bail outs, stimulus, and tax and trade will double our national debt to 20 trillion

ObamaCare, bail outs, stimulus, and tax and trade will double our national debt to 20 trillion

If you look at his projected savings, all but the 300 Billion in new taxes, could be realized now if implemented , without changing the total healthcare system.  This brings up the question of why wait for a new health care program, why not implement the changes now?  The savings could go to pay for coverage for the uninsured and to subsidize the current insurance rates resulting in lower rates of those with insurance who have it, now.

But of course, the projected savings are either a pipe dream or a lie.  You know that if the savings were real, we would already claimed them.

If this program is like most programs, it will costs more than projected, and the savings will be less than estimated.

And remember this all too important fact, we do not have the trillion dollars to spend.  It will be paid for by borrowed money that the CBO says will increase by 10 trillion dollars over next 10 years

Obama ended his speech by saying, “Now, for those of you who took out your pencil and paper — (laughter) — altogether, these savings mean that we’ve put about $950 billion on the table — and that doesn’t count some of the long-term savings that we think will come about from reform — from medical IT, for example, or increased investment in prevention.”

If passed, Obamacare will sap the financial resources of this country.

In summary, Obama proposes to cover 46,000,000 uninsured people at his estimate of 1 Trillion dollar paid for with 300 billion in new taxes and 700 billion in questionable savings on changes that could be made now if they are really feasible, without completely overhauling our medical system.

Does anyone really believe that 700 billion in savings can be realized by tweaking Medicare and Medicaid and using more generic drugs?  A more believable scenario is that the savings will not materialize and that we will have a federal tax increase of  close to a trillion dollars for an inferior healthcare system with a loss of freedom to choose doctors, reduction or elimination of end of life choices, the devaluation of life through government paid abortions, and a allocation of medical resources leading to rationing.

     Prevention and Wellness

xxSunday, August 9th, 2009 by Douglas Elmendorf

On Friday CBO released a letter that discusses how the agency’s budget estimates reflect potential reductions in federal costs from improvements in health that might result from expanded governmental support for preventive medical care and wellness services.

Preventive medical care includes services such as cancer screening, cholesterol management, and vaccines. In making its estimates of the budgetary effects of expanded governmental support for such care, CBO takes into account any estimated savings to the government that would result from greater use of preventive care as well as the estimated costs of that additional care. Although different types of preventive care have different effects on spending, the evidence suggests that for most preventive services, expanded utilization leads to higher, not lower, medical spending overall.

That result may seem counterintuitive. For example, many observers point to cases in which a simple medical test, if given early enough, can reveal a condition that is treatable at a fraction of the cost of treating that same illness after it has progressed. But when analyzing the effects of preventive care on total spending for health care, it is important to recognize that doctors do not know beforehand which patients are going to develop costly illnesses. To avert one case of acute illness, it is usually necessary to provide preventive care to many patients, most of whom would not have suffered that illness anyway. Judging the overall effect on medical spending requires analysts to calculate not just the savings from the relatively few individuals who would avoid more expensive treatment later, but also the costs of the many who would make greater use of preventive care.

I'm in charge of Obama's budgets. I am always accurate, I think.

I'm in charge of Obama's budgets. I am always accurate, I think.

Of course, just because a preventive service adds to total spending does not mean that it is a bad investment. Experts have concluded that a large fraction of preventive care adds to spending but should be deemed “cost-effective,” meaning that it provides clinical benefits that justify those added costs.

Even in cases where the provision of preventive medical care saves money, potential savings from expanded federal support might be limited depending on how frequently that service is currently provided. Many studies of preventive care compare the costs and benefits of a preventive service to the costs and benefits of doing nothing; in practice, a great deal of preventive medicine is already being performed, and many insurance plans already cover certain preventive services at little or no cost to enrollees. So a new government policy to encourage prevention could end up paying for preventive services that many individuals are already receiving—which would add to federal costs but not reduce total future spending on health care.

Wellness services include efforts to encourage healthy eating habits and exercise and to discourage bad habits such as smoking. As with preventive care, CBO’s estimates of the budgetary effects of expanded governmental support for wellness services endeavor to account for any savings that would result from greater use of those services as well as the costs of those services. However, evidence regarding the effect of wellness services on subsequent health spending is limited, and CBO is continuing to evaluate the evidence that does exist.

Designing government policies that are effective at inducing people to be healthier is challenging. Even successful efforts might take many years to bear fruit and could involve significant costs. Moreover, many employers already support some wellness services for their employees, and new government efforts to encourage such services could end up paying for services that some individuals are already receiving—which would add to federal costs but not reduce total future spending on health care. As with preventive medicine, the net budgetary effect of government support for wellness services depends on the balance of two factors—the reduction in government health spending for people who reduce their future use of medical care, and the costs to the government of providing or subsidizing wellness services.

Although some case studies suggest that certain employer wellness programs reduce subsequent medical care, little systematic evidence exists. The findings from case studies may not be applicable to programs that would be implemented more broadly. Because the evidence about such programs continues to evolve, CBO will continue to examine that evidence closely in evaluating specific proposals—the effects of which could depend very importantly in the proposal’s design.

You probably heard about this.  The Obama White House set up a blog to promote its ObamaCare program.  As part of it efforts to win the hearts and minds of the public, they issued a request with these now chilling words, “if you…see something that seems fishy….send it to the White House.”  Here is the request in context.  FZ9KXCAA911QICAEVP9VLCA2G1NURCAX3EN6OCAPNIZG7CAG1XBJYCATM2DP5CAF8X0D7CA95K639CAAK8BOKCA8LSA9XCAT7FE1XCAVP3U0ECA7JZA4SCA24YLRCCA3Z9TWFCA1AU24DCA4FVKMFFrom the White House blog site, these verbatim exerpts, that are difficult to believe:

TRANSLATION:  Help us keep an eye on your neighbors, and contact the White House with info on the perpetrators who are spreading lies against us.

I just received an email from the president’s top advisor asking me to help spread the real truth about Obamacare.  Now, I do not regularly correspond with the White House, so I can only assume that someone sent my email address to flag@whitehouse.gov“,the website the White House set up for reporting your neighbor’s emails and conversation that oppose ObamaCare.

My numerous comments and blogs must have caused an Obama informant  to secretly turn my name in to the White Housel.  So today, I received this Obama email personally from David Axelrod.

Even though I am not a conspiracy person, I find it a little unsettling for the White House to send me an email saying that I can, “help share the truth about health insurance.”

I wrote back that I was glad to get his letter that explained Obama’s position, however; the letter explained the Pelosicare, not Obamacare.  Obama has never offered a bill.  Only the Pelosi House members have written the 1000 page draft, that most of the congress say they have not read.

Maybe I am over reacting to this email, but something about it just doesn’t sit right.

    Dear Friend,

WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck — to help you separate fact from fiction and share the truth about health insurance reform. Here’s a few of the reality check videos you can find on the site:

Anyone that’s watched the news in the past few days knows that health insurance reform is a hot topic — and that rumors and scare tactics have only increased as more people engage with the issue. Given a lot of the outrageous claims floating around, it’s time to make sure everyone knows the facts about the security and stability you get with health insurance reform.

    That’s why we’ve launched a new online resource —

CEA Chair Christina Romer details how health insurance reform will impact small businesses.

Domestic Policy Council Director Melody Barnes tackles a nasty rumor about euthanasia and clearly describes how reform helps families.

Matt Flavin, the White House’s Director of Veterans and Wounded Warrior Policy, clears the air about Veteran’s benefits.

Kavita Patel, M.D., a doctor serving in the White House’s Office of Public Engagement, explains that health care rationing is happening right now and how reform gives control back to patients and doctors.

Z71F5CA5YLIZVCA91OGJ3CAMLFUXLCAOP1QXDCA3CR9CQCATCI600CAYYSQ2FCALEAU5ZCALRH401CAK10301CAGO7H0ZCAPM6PIGCAPVSJEWCA9S58OKCAL46LGWCAE9AMZECA4FPCGNCANPR2WABob Kocher, M.D., a doctor serving on the National Economic Council, debunks the myth that health insurance reform will be financed by cutting Medicare benefits.

There’s more information and a number of online tools you can use to spread the truth among your family, friends and other social networks. Take a look:

We knew going into this effort that accomplishing comprehensive health insurance reform wasn’t going to be easy. Achieving real change never is. The entrenched interests that benefit from the status quo always use their influence in Washington to try and keep things just as they are.Visit WhiteHouse.gov/RealityCheck, get the facts and spread the truth. The stakes are just too high to do nothing.

But don’t be misled. We know the status quo is unsustainable. If we do nothing, millions more Americans will be denied insurance because of pre-existing conditions, or see their coverage suddenly dropped if they become seriously ill. Out-of-pocket expenses will continue to soar, and more and more families and businesses will be forced to deal with health insurance costs they can’t afford.

    That’s the reality.

Americans deserve better. You deserve a health care system that works as well for you as it does for the status quo; one you can depend on — that won’t deny you coverage when you need it most or charge you crippling out-of-pocket co-pays. Health insurance reform means guaranteeing the health care security and stability you deserve.

President Barack Obama promised he’d bring change to Washington and fix our broken, unsustainable health insurance system. You can help deliver that change.

    RESTLESS IN ROMULUS, REALLY!

John Dingell’s (D-MI), Town Hall meeting in Romulus, MI was interesting theater.

The villain in the play was Representative Dingell, who was jeered and booed by the hostile crowd, and confronted face-to-face by a man with his son in a wheel chair.

The heroes were the crowd who had obviously studied the facts and came prepared to do battle, and Dingell, himself, for at least holding back to back meetings.

According to some, there was attempt to stack the meeting with early arriving Democrats who were seated in some of the closest seats.  But this passionate crowd was determined to voice their concerns, and express them they did.

Of course, the traditional drive-by media, as Rush Limbaugh refers to them, totally misses the importance of what is really going on at these meeting.  They are more interested in dissecting the motives of the anti-Obamacare people who attend the meeting, speculating on whether the “hallers” have been fed a script to follow at the meetings, and saying that the “hallers” have been sent by groups to disrupt the meetings.

The media acts as if the “ hallers” are some terror cell which has been activated by a twitter message. “ Heck, most of them do not even know what twitter is,” Joe Piscapo surmised on the Sean Hannity Show.

THE TOWN HALL TURN OUT WAS BIG.....WELL, NOT THIS BIG.

THE TOWN HALL TURN OUT WAS BIG.....WELL, NOT THIS BIG.

Representative Dingell, although wrong on supporting the Democrats’ cram-down healthcare (because we have the votes)  strategy  to improve health care in America in three weeks, is to be commended for his willingness to hold the town hall meeting, not once, but back-to-back in Romulus.  Nevertheless, in typical politics as usual refused to say that he would change anything or back off the imposed deadline.

More important than what Dingell did or the “hallers” said or did or why, is this.

Deep in the pit of our stomachs, we know that a financial tsunami is coming but we don’t know how big it is or how powerful it will be.  The “hallers’ may get a little rowdy at times, but they are the canaries in the coal mines.  They are expressing their fear or concern for the future under Obama’s leadership, as he wastes billion upon billion.

People know what happens when the government throws away money as if it will never run out.  They know from personal experience with the brother who spent all of his inheritance buying Mega Millions lottery tickets, or their daughter who filed bankruptcy after buying a luxury car, a new house, and all new clothes, on a modest budget.

They know that the national debt is over 10 trillion dollars headed for 20 trillion dollars under Obama, and they both angry and scared.

They see the bank bailouts, the car bailouts,  a stimulus bill that spends about 800 billion dollars on all types of non-stimulus items like turtle tunnels and pathways and boat docks for dried up lakes, a cap and trade bill that will cripple American manufacturing businesses, bills that no one has read nor understand, and an Obamacare-a thousand page, trillion dollar, bill that has different versions that no one can explain- not even Obama who didn’t write it nor Pelosi who did write it, and is a bill the Democrats want but don’t like to talk about….

……and the media elite do not understand why the American public does not have confidence in reconfiguring the total healthcare delivery system.

What people do not understand, they fear, when they have fear, they get defensive, when threatened, they protect and fight back.  This bill, unless changed is going down, and it may just take Obama and his coterie of Democrats down, too.

See you at town hall and the voting booth.

GIVE ME ALL YOUR CASH. I DON'T HAVE ANY CASH BUT I HAVE SOMETHING ELSE FOR YOU.

Does that mean that the gun toting state is a more dangerous place to live?

Not according to a report in humanevents.com, “Statistics from the FBI’s Uniformed Crime Report of 2007 show that states with right-to-carry laws have a 30% lower homicide rate, 46% lower robbery, and 12% lower aggravated assault rate and a 22% lower overall violent crime rate than do states without such laws.  That is why more and more states have passed right-to-carry laws over the past decade.”

Ammunition has become scarce in Florida and throughout the U.S, according gunsandgame.com.  This comment was recently left by a reader,” I went to the Orlando Bass Pro today which is the largest Bass in FL and third largest in the country according to the manager of the gun department. There was not one single round of .380 handgun ammo. Very little .45′s and only 2 boxes of .40 that were SXZ Training rounds. Gander Mountain in Ocala was very, very low as well. I even went to Walmart in Leesburg to find 1 box of Winchester White Box in .40 and not a single .380 either. Wal-Mart had about 6 boxes of 9MM and no .45′s at all.”

“Is Obama scaring everyone that much?” asked the commenter.

The commenter poses an interesting question to which many would answer yes. Perhaps, people are afraid that a complete financial melt down could occur in the near future.  Anarchy, they assume, would ensue, placing a premium on who control the guns and had a license to carry.

Use of Deadly Force for Lawful Self-Defense

In receiving a license to carry a concealed weapon for lawful self-defense, you are undertaking a great responsibility. A license to carry a concealed weapon is not a license to use it. I am sure you share my hope that you will never find it necessary to use a weapon in self-defense. If you do, the law will protect you only if you have acted within the law. Those who are choosing to arm themselves with weapons should, therefore, be armed with the most indispensable weapon of all knowledge. We are providing this information to you as a service in pursuit of that goal. Only you can provide the wisdom, restraint, and good judgment that the law demands of those who possess the ability to take another human life.Charles H. Bronson
    Commissioner

A License to Carry a Concealed Weapon is not a License to use it.

This information was prepared by the Division of Licensing in an attempt to answer some of the most frequently asked questions about the use of deadly force for lawful self-defense. Included are examples of real situations involving the legal consequences of the use of deadly force.

    Q. What kinds of weapons are included in the concealed weapons law?

    A. The Jack Hagler Self-defense Act defines concealed weapons or firearms as follows: handguns, electronic weapons or devices, tear gas guns, knives and billies. The information provided emphasizes handguns, because they are one of the most commonly used weapons for self-defense.

    Q. What if I am in my vehicle?

    A. A person has no duty to retreat in his lawfully occupied vehicle against a person who was in the process of unlawfully and forcefully entering or had unlawfully and forcefully entered an occupied vehicle or had unlawfully and forcefully removed or was attempting to remove another against that person’s will from the occupied vehicle.

    Q. When is a Handgun “Concealed?”

    A. The Florida Legislature defines a concealed firearm as any firearm “carried on or about a person in such a manner as to conceal it from the ordinary sight of another person.” A person carrying a concealed firearm without a license is guilty of a felony of the third degree. The penalty for this offense is a prison term of up to five years.

    Q. Are there special laws that apply to the use of Handguns?

    A. Yes, special laws apply anytime anyone uses deadly force, whether or not the weapon is concealed. Florida law defines deadly force as force that is likely to cause death or great bodily harm. When you carry a handgun, you possess a weapon of deadly force. The law considers even an unloaded gun to be a deadly weapon when it is pointed at someone.

    Q. When can I use my handgun to protect myself?

    A. Florida law justifies use of deadly force when you are:

    • Trying to protect yourself or another person from death or serious bodily harm;
    • Trying to prevent a forcible felony, such as rape, robbery, burglary or kidnapping.

Using or displaying a handgun in any other circumstances could result in your conviction for crimes such as improper exhibition of a firearm, manslaughter, or worse.

Example of the kind of attack that will not justify defending yourself with deadly force: Two neighbors got into a fight, and one of them tried to hit the other by swinging a garden hose. The neighbor who was being attacked with the hose shot the other in the chest. The court upheld his conviction for aggravated battery with a firearm, because an attack with a garden hose is not the kind of violent assault that justifies responding with deadly force.

    Q. What if someone uses threatening language to me so that I am afraid for my life or safety?

    A. Verbal threats are not enough to justify the use of deadly force. There must be an overt act by the person which indicates that he immediately intends to carry out the threat. The person threatened must reasonably believe that he will be killed or suffer serious bodily harm if he does not immediately take the life of his adversary.

    Q. What if someone is attacking me in my own home?

    A. The courts have created an exception to the duty to retreat called the “castle doctrine.” Under the castle doctrine, you need not retreat from your own home to avoid using deadly force against an assailant. The castle doctrine applies if you are attacked in your own home by an intruder.

    Q. What if I am in my place of business and someone comes in to rob me? Do I have to retreat before using deadly force?

    A. The castle doctrine also applies when you are in your place of business. If you are in danger of death or great bodily harm or you are trying to prevent a forcible felony, you do not have to retreat before using deadly force in self-defense.

    Q. What if I point my handgun at someone but don’t use it?

    A. Never display a handgun to gain “leverage” in an argument. Threatening someone verbally while possessing a handgun, even licensed, will land you in jail for three years. Even if the gun is broken or you don’t have bullets, you will receive the mandatory three-year sentence if convicted. The law does not allow any possibility of getting out of jail early.

Example: In a 1987 case, a woman refused to pay an automobile mechanic who she thought did a poor job repairing her car. They argued about it, and the mechanic removed the radiator hose from the car so she couldn’t drive it away. She reached into her purse, pulled out an unloaded gun, and threatened to kill the mechanic if he touched her car again. The mechanic grabbed the gun and called the police.

The woman was convicted of aggravated assault with a firearm and sentenced to serve a mandatory three-year prison term. The fact that the gun was not loaded was irrelevant. Even though she was the mother of three dependent children and had no prior criminal record, the statute does not allow for parole. Her only recourse was to seek clemency from the Governor.

    Q. When can I use deadly force in the defense of another person?

    A. If you see someone who is being attacked, you can use deadly force to defend him/her if the circumstances would justify that person’s use of deadly force in his/her own defense. In other words, you “stand in the shoes” of the person being attacked.

    Q. What if I see a crime being committed?

    A. A license to carry a concealed weapon does not make you a free-lance policeman. But, as stated earlier, deadly force is justified if you are trying to prevent the imminent commission of a forcible felony. The use of deadly force must be absolutely necessary to prevent the crime. Also, if the criminal runs away, you cannot use deadly force to stop him, because you would no longer be “preventing” a crime. If use of deadly force is not necessary, or you use deadly force after the crime has stopped, you could be convicted of manslaughter.

    Q. If I get a license to carry a concealed weapon, can I carry it anywhere?

    A. No. To get a license you must sign an oath that you have read and understand the Jack Hagler Self-defense Act (Section 790.06, Florida Statutes). That statute lists several places where you may not carry a concealed weapon. You should read subsection 12 for a complete list, but some examples are football, baseball, and basketball games (college or professional) and bars.

A cool head and even temper can keep handgun carriers out of trouble. You should never carry a gun into a situation where you might get angry.

    Summary

    1. Never display a handgun to gain “leverage” in an argument, even if it isn’t loaded or you never intend to use it.

    2. The amount of force that you use to defend yourself must not be excessive under the circumstances.

    • Never use deadly force in self-defense unless you are afraid that if you don’t, you will be killed or seriously injured;
    • Verbal threats never justify your use of deadly force;
    • If you think someone has a weapon and will use it unless you kill him, be sure you are right and are not overreacting to the situation.

    3. The law permits you to carry a concealed weapon for self-defense. Carrying a concealed weapon does not make you a free-lance policeman or a “good samaritan.”

    4. Never carry your concealed weapon into any place where the statute prohibits carrying it.

This is not a complete summary of all the statutes and court opinions on the use of deadly force. Because the concealed weapons statute specifies that concealed weapons are to be used for lawful self-defense, we have not attempted to summarize the body of law on lawful defense of property. This information is not intended as legal advice. Every self-defense case has its own unique set of facts, and it is unwise to try to predict how a particular case would be decided. It is clear, however, that the law protects people who keep their tempers under control and use deadly force only as a last resort.

Dr. Obama conducts meeting with elderly patient during mandatory 5 year end-of-life session

Thank you for coming to my office  for your mandatory 5 year scheduled  consultation with me to talk about your end-of- life choices provided by your Obamacare policy.

As you know, I’m not your regular doctor; in fact, I’m not technically a doctor however:  I do have my Doctorate of Jurisprudence if that is any consolation to you..

As you are aware, medical resources are in very high demand these days and therefore must be delivered to recipients through a very structured allocation process

Notice that I am calibrating my words carefully, because I want to make myself clear.

As you must realize at your age of…..let’s see what your records say, h-m-m-m-m…. 84, to government computers, your life expectancy is only one year.

So with that in mind, I regret to inform you that we cannot fund your requested emergency  procedure, which according to our calculations would run $16,899.

That figure is determined by adding the cost of 332 stitches you would need to close those nasty wounds, using the finest cat gut string, the rabies shots, impounding the dog, antibiotics….you know how expensive those are, and various doctor and nurse charges, et ceterer, et ceterer….all when added together exceed your EWL, according to the EWL chart I have prepared for you. ( Economic Worth of your Life Government Chart Number 32223).

     Now, please don’t cry.

You wouldn’t want us to take medical treatment away from younger person, with a higher viability of life quotient, see the Government Chart Number 43343, plus it is our stated policy, see Government Pamphlet 2A.

The decision is not appealable.    It comes from our Blue Ribbon Medical Committee, made up of a cross section of the community including members of Acorn, the United Auto Workers, the Teacher Union, and other nonpartisan groups

    Do you have any questions………..Mom?

I know, I know, you’re right. Michele and the girls will be mad, because, yes, you do live with us in the White House and it was our dog that bit you multiple times, but knowing what a patriotic American you are, you wouldn’t have it any other way.  Right?

I want to be clear on this.

Mom, we can make this work.  Yes, we can.  Now say it with me, Yes we can!

    Good!

Now, I really wish you wouldn’t start that again.  Crying too much can aggravate your eye condition, and you already know that there’s a 3 month wait to get that taken care of.

Can someone please get me a towel?”

Vigilocanis’  Top Ten Facts You Need To Know
    About “Obamacare”
    10062592

    1. Those with existing insurance coverage will pay more for their future insurance coverage under the ObamaCare

    2. Those with no insurance will be paying the same amount as before, nothing.

    3. Illegal aliens who were not covered before will be covered by “El Obamacaro.”

    4. Your doctor, who is easily accessible to you now, will be difficult to see in the future because of the 46,000,000 new patients with government insurance ahead of you in the waiting room.

    5. You might be told to have a seat in the waiting room even though the compound fracture of your hip make sitting in the waiting room chair a little difficult.

    6. Under ObamaCare, five patients will be standing in a line, a 21 yr. old patient, two 30 something patients, two 40 something patients, and one 88 yr. old grandmother patient.  The doctor will call out,  “All of you are suffering from a deadly new virus that can only be treated with this medicine I hold in my hands.  Those of you who think you will qualify for this life saving medicine, please take one step forward………not so fast Grandma!”

    7. If you love the “turtlebahn” and the Stimulus bill, you will love Obamacare.

    8. Additional jobs will be created for bouncers to control the mobs demanding to be seen next in your doctor’s waiting room

    9. If you like standing in line at the post office, you will love standing in line at the doctor’s office

    10. If you think that a new 1000 page bill that has not been read by a single congressman that proposes a new trillion dollar government Obamacare program that insures 46,000,000 new patients including 10,000,000 illegal aliens, that cannot afford insurance now and must be paid for by some one else…….will not affect you- who is already having trouble paying for your own insurance, let alone pay for additional coverage for others…………will not affect you; then you might need to see a Obamchiatrist.

You, the U.S. taxpayer, just spent a billion dollars to buy junk cars courtesy of  the “Cash for Clunkers” plan that helps new car buyers afford  new vehicles by paying up to $4,500 for their junker trade ins .

"Come on down Granny! I've got you $4500 for that piece of junk. Ya gotta just love me!"

"Come on down Granny! I've got you $4500 for that piece of junk. Ya just gotta love me!"

In effect, the government plan takes money($450) from your pocket and the pockets of each of your nine friends and gives it($4,500) to your neighbor across the street so that your neighbor can trade in his old car, that has a market value of $500, but because of yours and your neighbors’ contributions to the Clunker program, the clunker has a value to its owner of $4,500, that your neighbor can use to help pay for the new car.

This new car was built by the government owned General Motors with the help of the union workers with the government guaranteed pension plans, financed by the government bailed out banks, driven over the turtle tunnel built by government eco-dollars, fueled by govenment subsidized ethanol, and parked in a garage in a house with a government mandated sub prime mortgage.

And now they want to spend 2 billion more dollars on this “successful” stimulus effort.

……… and Obama said the Cambridge police acted “stupidly’ and that he would provide us with a teachable moment

AND JUST WHO IS IT THAT ALLOWS THIS RECKLESS  TYRANNICAL GOVERNMENT TO ROB US AND OUR CHILDREN ?

    6

It my (teachable) moment and I'll cry if I want to, cry if I want to...

IT IS YOU AND I.   WHILE WE COMPLACENTLY SIT ON OUR HANDS  AND KEEP OUR EYES CLOSED, OUR ASSETS AND THOSE OF OUR CHILDREN ARE OPENLY SEIZED BY THE PERNICIOUS GOVERNMENT LEECH, WHOSE APPETITE   TO FUND THESE SOCIALIST PROGRAMS, CANNOT BE SATISFIED.

Our objection is barely audible as we forget to vote, don’t actively campaign for worthy candidate, and are silent as the Democratic mercinary Acorn tergiversators do their deeds.

Just work harder and pay more taxes. Your neighbor want a new car.

Just work harder and pay more taxes. Your neighbor wants a new car.

If we do not rise up to stop these malevolent government takeover, then we are  but complicit enablers.

This government program is another ignoble, collectivist act of a socialist leaning government that doesn’t give a whit that there is no money in the treasury to fund this ridiculous act of favoritism to car dealers.

If special interests were smart, environmentalists should demand money for old bikes, for old Volvos, for old windmills, and rednecks should demand money for old coon dogs, or  for old satellite dishes.

Don’t we get it? WE’RE BROKKKKKKKKKKKE!

All this money spent for junk cars and turtle tunnels, and yes I’ll will say it, money for wars with countries that have not attacked us, is borrowed money.

According to the US Treasury , on 09/30/2008 we owed $10,024,724,896,912.49.  This does not count the empty Social Security and Medicare/Medicaid trust funds that were robbed and the money spent, while millions or retirees are depending on its support.

As Ross Perot so eloquently explained, ” Larry, we’re bankrupt and just don’t know it.”

Al Gore said one true thing……that we need a lock box to protect the trust funds.

Vou are, how du vou sez, vis out no monee'

Vou are, how du vou sez, vis out no monee'

It’s time for taxpayers to rise up and smell the tea that is brewing.  As long as we sit back and watch, the Obama will continue to siphon the assets from producer and into the empty tanks of nonproducers and then label the public theft compassion.

Joe Bob, I thought you said we were gonna see a "dude" dance. You know I love square dances.

Marvin, I thought you said we were going to see a square dance!

News Flash:  The National Endowment to the Arts may fund a grant to Frameline Film House which recently screened a controversial nude dance film, Thundercrack.  The film house has received funds from NEA in past.  The NEA received 50 million dollars in funding from the Stimulus Fund paid for with tax receipts and credit pledged against earnings of future taxpayers

    See http://www.nea.gov/recovery/grants/ARRA-direct-grants.php for all grants.

In April of this year, Congress passed President Obama’s 3.4 Trillion Dollar budget, which the Congressional Budget Office, estimated in June of 2009, will add 1.8 trillion dollars to the debt in just one year see  :http://www.cbo.gov/ftpdocs/102xx/doc10296/TablesforWeb.pdf  ).

In talk shows over the weekend Treasury Secretary Timothy Geitner confirmed the obvious, President Obama may have to break his campaign promise of tax break for 95% of the American taxpayers.

The annual deficit estimates of the CBO demonstrate why.  Additional charts show rise in federal debt.  Federal debt is the sum total of all of the US annual deficits. ( See 1,825 in billions is equal to 1.825 trillion).  Present debt over 10 trillion.

          xxxxxx

Who is going to pay the 20 trillion dollar debt?

    CAN YOU HELP ME PAYYYYYY?

Who is going to pay the 20 trillion dollar debt?Democrats are not the only ones to contribute to the debt!

I’ve come up a way to help those who insist on substituting the irritating phrase, “No problem”, for the correct response, “You’re welcome”, when told, “Thank you.”  Now I say, “Thank you.  Was there a problem?”  I feel so much better when the dialogue flows so smoothly.  I still don’t hear, “You’re welcome,”  but it doesn’t bother me nearly as much.

Where exactly is that, ‘Next Level”?  And is there a level after the next level.  I mean, if you hire someone who is , “Going to take us to the next level,” it’s important to how many levels are left and can she take you up, say, three levels or just the next level?

What do all these liberals who characterize those teaparty folks as racists because they do not support President Obama?  Seriously, they just voted for Herman Caine in the Florida presidential straw poll.  Hello?  Caine is definitely not white.  So does that mean the teapartiers are also insane.  Those crazy astro-turf racists.

Don’t you enjoy those Fox interviews of the Wall Street demonstrators who try to explain what they object to.  I am waiting for one to answer the question this way, “No problem Dude, I want to see these demonstrations take America to the next level.  The goal is to silence those crazy, Herman Caine supporting, racists teapartiers.”

Is is just me or does it bother others when receptionists respond to your call with, “May I ask who is calling?”  I know it is just a polite way of saying, ” He may or may not want to speak to you, depending on who you are.”  But the question is really the wrong question.  The receptionists should ask, “Who is calling, please?’, not, “May I ask who is calling.”  I have discovered that by answering the first question accurately usually triggers the second question.  Try it and see.  Just answer, “Of course.  Yes.”, and I am sure you will get the second question………after a long pause.

It depends on the definition of "is" is and the definition what "open and transparent" means

It depends on the definition of "is" is and the definition what "open and transparent" means

Joe Biden Sheriff of the Stimulus Funds said, “So if this — six months from now, if the verdict on this effort is that we’ve wasted the money, we built things that were unnecessary, or we’ve done things that are legal but make no sense, then, folks, don’t look for any help from the federal government for a long while. They’re going to make sure — the folks in the House and in the Senate are going to make sure you wear the jacket, not them.

So this is a big deal — this is a big deal. It’s also being closely watched not just by me, but by the President, and by Mr. Devaney, who is one of the most respected IGs we have in the federal government, and is known by many of you. And it’s also being watched by the taxpayers and it’s being watched by the media.

And that’s a good thing — that’s a good thing, because the resources being made available through the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act are a critical piece — a critical piece of how we’re going to get through this economic crisis, and just as importantly, how we’re going to build the economy of the future, which the Secretary referenced.

    TURTLE TUNNEL

When added to previously spent funds totaling an estimate $2.6 million dollars, the questionable project will cost approximately $6 million dollars.

Located at US Highway 27 North near Tallahassee, Florida, the project rose from obscurity and attracted national attention when U.S. Senator Tom Coburn listed the turtle tunnel in his top 100 Worst Stimulus Spending Projects.

Well meaning proponents argue that the tunnel is need to help save turtles which are killed as they try to cross the four lane highway in an attempt to travel from the main body of the 1800 acre Lake Jackson to the adjacent 50 acre water body.

The well organized, politically astute supported convinced local and state politicians to support spending about $2.6 million in funds before momentum stalled. Stimulus dollars for the dubious spending projects have allowed construction to go forward.

While saving turtles lives from automobile traffic is noble, the allocation of resources for turtle tunnels is almost laughable when compared to the national transportation and human needs.

An inexpensive fabric filter fence installed by a local team of volunteers led by a biologist working on a study of turtles in Tallahassee, had reduced turtle mortality to an almost negligible amount.

Not satisfied, supporters lobbied for and have now received millions of dollars to construct new turtle tunnels and concrete walls that are suitable for stopping Abrams tank movements.

No good explanation has been given as to why the existing 8’ x 8’ culvert is not sufficient to handle the turtle traffic.

Rational thinking by most who examine the turtle problem would lead to the logical conclusion that an inexpensive chain link fence would suffice in stopping the turtle carnage, caused by turtle seeking higher grounds to lay their eggs or just traveling from one water body to another as turtles are prone to do, rather than the construction of expensive concrete tunnel and barrier infrastructure.

    ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION!

    ABSOLUTELY NO CONNECTION!

President Obama and the Democrats say they want a government run healthcare option, which some say will replace the free market model in the future.

If we are to decide if we want this government model we must examine  the best examples of real life government run models in other countries and how they perform, to gain an understanding of how ours might perform, should we choose the government option.

The purpose of this post is to provide information on one characteristic of government systems that has received  considerable attention in the United States and is the subject of many complaints within the countries that have government run healthcare; that is the waiting time required to obtain critical care treatment in Scotland and England.  The information is provided by Scottish and English governmental sources based on statistical data published by their prospective governments.

    Summarizing the data:

    • Average Wait for treatment for patients admitted to a hospital in 8.6 weeks according to the English Department of Health
    • Outpatients waited an average of 4.6 weeks in 2009 compared to  7.4 weeks in 2007
    • 20% of Scottish patients seeking an appointment for an assessment for drug problems wait for longer than one year, 30% waited for longer that one year for first intervention
    • The average wait in Scotland for an critical care breast cancer patient is 35 days
    • The average wait for all cancer treatment after diagnosis is 34 days with some waiting as long as 198 days

First see the English NHS report:

    http://www.nhs.uk/news/2009/03March/Pages/NHSwaitingtimesQA.aspx

The NHS has achieved the shortest waiting times since its records began, the Department of Health said today.

It also said it had met its “18 weeks” waiting time target, whereby patients referred from a GP for further treatment start that treatment within 18 weeks. The target became the operational standard for the NHS from January 1 2009. Today’s announcement confirms that the deadline was met.

The average wait for treatment for patients admitted to hospital is now just 8.6 weeks. Outpatients waited an average of 4.6 weeks at January 2009, compared to 7.4 weeks at August 2007

18 weeks still sounds like a long time

An 18-week wait is the longest allowed. Most NHS patients do not wait anything like that long. The average wait for treatment for patients admitted to hospital is now 8.6 weeks. Patients who did not need to be admitted waited an average of 4.6 weeks as of January 2009.

Are there any areas where the target has not been met?

Yes, the 18-week target has not been reached in two specialist treatment areas – trauma and orthopaedics, and neurosurgery. Even so, median waiting times in both areas remain within the target (12 weeks and 10 weeks respectively) and most patients do start treatment within 18 weeks. Action is being taken to bring these areas fully within the 18-week limit nationally.

    Any other exceptions?

A small number of NHS organisations are not hitting the 18-week target. Sixteen NHS trusts, including six Primary Care Trusts, did not achieve the minimum standard in January 2009. However, the Department of Health says all organisations have made “significant progress” and firm action is being taken to ensure they meet the standard in future

    • In 2008 97.5 per cent of urgently referred cancer patients aged under 16 began treatment within 31 days of their referral compared with 100.0 per cent in 2007

I have tried almost everything that has been suggested online to improve the number of people who are viewing my new Vigilocanis blog site.

Nothing has seemed to work very well.  My highest viewership came when I sent out an email to my contact list and suggested that my contacts might want to visit my new blog site.  Out of sheer boredom or perverse curiosity, they came to my website to see what I was up to.

The activity drove my numbers up to my highest total.

I was elated.  I envisioned myself as the next Matt Drudge.  People would be anxiously waiting by their computers for my next captivating post.

But as the days went by, my little numbers grew littler and littler.  About the only way I could get a spike in activity was to keep posting on other sites and wait for my enticement to lure them back to my site as the articles of boosting viewership suggest.

But that method only provided a temporary and palid bump in site readership.

So I guess I am down to one of my last choices that have been suggested to draw readers to one’s site.  Fellow bloggers have secretly told me that this is the ticket.  It is also suggested by many articles posted online.

The strategy goes something like this.  First, I go to a site call Google Trends where the most popular search subjects for the past 24 hours are listed.  I choose one of the top searches and then write a blog about that top subject, freely using the name of the search throughout your article.

The idea is that the use of the words will trigger Google Search to pull up your article and thus provide your site with the desired viewers that have avoided your site in droves.

Being the kind of person who always believed that if the instructions say use one pint to a gallon, I always assume two pints will do twice as well.  So with that in mind, I will attempt to use all of the top ten searches in one article to see if the Google Search strategy works.

I approach this experience with some caution.  Apparently, Google, on to such schemes, will some how bust you if they discover what you are up to and temporarily ban your site from its search process.  But then I remembered that no one is looking at the site anyway but a few of my relatives and friends and a couple of strangers who accidentally wander into the site who apparently feel like they have found a room at a Hitchcock Bates Motel, and quickly leave before nightfall never to return.

One might surmise that the site just might be lousy, and while that might be true, I have read a bunch of blogs that are far inferior to mine.  I think I just need a boost for traffic.  So with that said, let the experiment begin.

    You cannot ….

63You cannot strengthen the weak by weakening the strong.

You cannot help small men by tearing down big men.

You cannot help the poor by destroying the rich.

You cannot lift the wage earner by pulling down the wage payer.

You cannot keep out of trouble by spending more than your income.

You cannot further the brotherhood of man by inciting class hatreds.

You cannot establish security on borrowed money.

You cannot build character and courage by taking away a man’s initiative and independence.

You cannot help men permanently by doing for them what they could and should do for themselves.

William J. H. Boetcker, 1916 (often attributed to Lincoln)

File:Paul Krugman-press conference Dec 07th, 2008-6.jpgPaul Krugman, every liberal’s favorite economist, writing in the liberal’s Bible, the New York Times on August 6,  joined the liberal chorus singing the now popular song about how the “town hallers” must have other motives for attending town hall meetings besides just being fed up with the health care cram down; they must be part of the “angry white voter” segment, a liberal term used to describe anyone who opposes Obama.

    His evidence, none.

Krugman,“ But they’re probably reacting less to what Obama is doing, or even to what they’ve heard about what he’s doing, than to who he is.”  -”probably” being the operative word.  Now how would Krugman have this pychological profile of 300 people who came to these events in different cars…..”they probaly care about who he is(that he is black is what Krugman the mindreader is saying in code)”……….and your evidence Mr. Krugman? absolutely nothing as Edwin Starr said.

Some might say that Krugman’s preoccupation with race is an indication of his own racist feeling; that he is  a regular raceaphobe.  Maybe he protesteth too much?

Krugman, expert on all things,  recently offered his opinion on another subject.

Reacting to an recently published updated study from a Berkley professor that, according to the study, shows a wide difference between the rich and the poor; Krugman agreeing that the inequality (not difference) between the richest and poorest, said the study was “truly amazing”.  He implied that the study confirmed what he knew, as if he had worried about  the plight of the poor for sometime.

What personal steps had he taken to help a poor person?

He apparently perused the report over a glass of Chateau Mouton-Rothschild in his $1,700,000 apartment wearing his little Dior running suit.

Sources say that upon reading the report, he was so outraged that he went to the window of the exquisite apartment, threw open his designer drapes, jerked  open his sound proofed, double insulated window, and  quietly whispered , ” I’m mad as hell, and I’m probably not going to take it anymore,” after which, he donned his tailored suit and went to see a play.

2004 ANTI-BUSH-REPUBLICAN DEMONSTRATIONS. WHERE WAS LIBERAL OUTRAGE?

2004 ANTI-BUSH-REPUBLICAN DEMONSTRATIONS. WHERE WAS LIBERAL OUTRAGE?

Paul Krugman, every liberal’s favorite mischievous looking economist, writing in the liberal’s Bible, the New York Times on August 6, joined the liberal chorus singing the now popular song about how the “town hallers” must have other motives for attending town hall meetings than just being fed up with the health care cram down; they must be part of the “angry white voter” segment, a liberal term used to describe anyone who opposes Obama.

His evidence, none. “ But they’re probably reacting less to what Obama is doing, or even to what they’ve heard about what he’s doing, than to who he is.”  -”probably” being the operative word.

Although Krugman does not go all the way in his endorsement of the characterization of the town hallers by Obama spokesman Robert Gibbs as comparable to protest crowds to the 2000 presidential elections when Gibbs aledged that paid Republican staffers or the “Brooks Brothers mob of Republican hacks” were responsible for the protests,  Krugman invests just enough of his reputation endorsing the ridiculous notion to try to undermine the “hallers”, by saying Gibbs is half right.

He cites two conservative groups as the main organizers of one event from the hundreds that were held without giving a shred of evidence.  One group, he says is led by former congressman Dick Army, who couldn’t organize a four person sit-in at a poker table.

Krugman went so far in his column to label the crowd to an “angry white voters” imputing a racist motive to the group, again, without a scintilla of evidence to support his contention.  So much for scholarly research by the learned professor.

Most of the public who watch the news reports probably surmise that individual hallers are more like  Uncle Ned and Aunt Bertha who might just be attending because there are scared that someone who does not even understand the new bill and in some cases admits to have not even read the bill, is going to mess with their medical coverage. Uncle Ned and Aunt Bertha are not going be manipulated by Republican special interest groups, or even Krugman or Gibbs with their Washington D.C. slander.

2004 PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS? AT 2004 REPUBLICAN CONVENTION, PEACEFUL BECAUSE OF THOUSANDS OF NYPD

2004 PEACEFUL DEMONSTRATIONS? AT 2004 REPUBLICAN CONVENTION, PEACEFUL BECAUSE OF THOUSANDS OF NYPD

Receiving an email  that ask for their attendence to a town hall meeting, or hearing some friends at Wal-mart or Wednesday supper at church, talk about the town hall meeting, does not constitute being part of some “angry white voter” segment.

Liberals just don’t understand these people whom they consider as being incapable of rational intellectual reasoning.

The hallers appear to be the same type people who show up at many political meetings across America…..passionate activists from the across the political spectrum that have a bone to pick about something the government has either done or is about to do them, that they want stopped.

Experts say animals can smell fear in humans or at least detect erratic behavior that excites a killer instinct in the predator.  It is apparent that Obama and his coterie of Democrat shills have shown enough vulnerability on ObamaCare to trigger an instinctual predator response in the prey turned predator hallers.  The hallers smell fear and taste liberal blood in the water.

ALRIGHT You "haller"/"birthers" GET IN LINE!
ALRIGHT You “haller”/”birthers” GET IN LINE!

Think now about the crazed protests at the 2004 Republican convention where the mad dog demonstrators interupted convention speakers time after time screaming, “Bush lied, people died” and had to be hauled out by security to join the tens of thousands of other miscreants of every denomination.

Do you remember a single news report that reported  that the mob was orchestrated or organized by special interest groups?

Today’s  biased media, other than Fox and Lou Dobbs at CNN seems incapable of describing hallers as anything other than mind numbed robots incapable of having a sincere, intelligent point of view.
